Histórias da Marvel como Surfista Prateado e A Imbatível Garota Esquilo receberam indicações para "Melhor série contínua" e "Melhor Nova Série", respectivamente, enquanto a Image Comics recebeu 14 indicações, incluindo indicações para "Melhor série contínua" para Bastardos do Sul e Invencíveis. Jason Aaron, John Allison, Ed Brubaker, Marjorie Liu, e G. Willow Wilson receberam indicações para "Melhor Escritor", enquanto Michael Allred, Cliff Chiang, Erica Henderson, Joëlle Jones, e Nate Powell receberam indicações para "Melhor Desenhista / Colorista" . Mark Millar e Sean Murphy também estão sendo indicados com Chrononauts e Ed Brubaker e Sean Phillip com Fade Out para "Melhor Nova Série".
Quadrinhos alternativos da Editora Fantagraphics levaram 17 indicações, seguida da Image com 14 . A Boom Comics veio em terceiro, com 11 indicações, e a IDW recebeu 10. Marvel recebeu 5 indicações assim como a DC que também recebeu 5 nomeações. Notavelmente, 49 mulheres dividiram um total de 61 nomeações, estabelecendo um recorde no Eisner. As mulheres estavam sendo representadas em 27 das 30 categorias.
